Fulvio Bonavia is an award-winning advertising and editorial photographer known for his uniquely inventive imagery. He has used food to create haute couture apparel inspired by designers such as Alexander McQueen and Prada; crafted jewelry, accessories, handbags, and shoes out of edible elements for his book A Matter of Taste; and produced gothic Rorschacht-like cutout designs for a campaign for React gum. This sort of photography requires artistry and precision, and clients ranging from Pirelli, Montblanc, and Yamaha to Adidas and Heineken know they can count on Fulvio for both.

Automotive photography is also a specialty of Fulvio's, and he's shot campaigns for some of the leading car makers, including Jaguar, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda, Jeep, and Toyota. Though he is experienced at shooting handsome, glossy photos of the car in action, he also is often called on for his conceptual skills. He once created a pair of calendars for Lancia, one based on fairy tales to celebrate the centenary of the brand and the other inspired cult movies.

Born in Italy, Fulvio started out as a graphic designer and illustrator of film posters before devoting his energies to photography. His work has been honored by Communication Arts, PDN, the Italian Art Directors Club, and the IPA, among others, and Luerzer's Archive has named Fulvio one of the 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide, choosing one of his photos for the cover of its in 2008/2009 400-page book. In 2010, he was selected Photographer of the Year by the Mobius Awards. He is based in Milan.
